The initial walk was just in the US, now it has expanded to Addis Ababa Ethiopia, thanks to old Lyceen classmates who took the initiative to fulfill Mahlet Girma’s plan.

In less than a month, they got a permit out for the walk, got media exposure for the Pink House, got 500 T-shirts ordered with 100% proceeds going to the foundation & raised funds to sustain the Pink House for several months.

As the Ethiopian saying goes “A collection of spider webs can tie up a lion” ድር ቢያብር አንበሳ ያስር – we can see how much we can accomplish when we come together. May God bless our union and our lending hands.

No turning back now, this is a start to the annual walk in Addis and all over the world, to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and help our mothers and sisters who are affected by it.
